What is the CASL Challenge Program?
The Capital Area Soccer League (CASL) offers three distinct levels of soccer; Recreation, Challenge and Classic. The CASL Challenge program is offered for both boys and girls in the age ranges of U10-U18, although the high school girls (U15-18) only play in the fall and the high school boys (U15-18) only play in the spring.  The CASL Challenge program is available for players seeking to enhance their soccer development, coupled with a higher level of competition compared to the recreation level of soccer, but without the level of commitment required of the classic travel soccer program.

The CASL Challenge program is structured such that players can only be selected into the program by means of a tryout process.  While typically players will have prior playing experience, this is not a requirement of this program. All CASL challenge coaches are volunteer coaches, but there are coaching license requirements for all CASL challenge coaches and continuing education initiatives to indirectly help players develop both technically and tactically.

Veteran Players Registration Deadline: November 21, 2014
All current CASL challenge players are required to register via veteran registration to return to their CASL challenge team the following playing season. If families miss the veteran registration and wish to return to their CASL challenge team, families should countact the CASL age group administrator prior to the challenge tryout date.
