Hamilton Sportsmanship Award

The Hamilton Sportsmanship Award, sponsored by Dick's Sporting Goods &
WakeMed Health & Hospitals
, is given out at the end of the fall and spring season.
This award honors CASL athletes who demonstrate exemplary character on and
off the field. CASL emphasizes the importance of growth and development of
youth players through the game of soccer. The athletes, who are submitted by their
coach (or voted by their teammates), will be honored at the RailHawks game on October 30th. 


Hamilton Award winners will receive: 
- Free ticket to the RailHawks game on October 30
- Hamilton Award certificate & gift (picked up at the RailHawks game)
- Special recognition during halftime at the RailHawks game on October 30                                                  Click form icon to submit winners

                   We will do our best to notify all Hamilton Award winners by Monday, October 26. Each winner will receive a FREE RailHawks ticket for the October 30 game. The Hamilton Sportsmanship Award is named after Dr. Pat B. Hamilton, one of CASL's founders and a strong advocate for the establishment of youth soccer in Raleigh and the state of North Carolina. The selected player should personify the values Dr. Hamilton lived by, including:

  • Integrity    
  • Fairness    
  • Respect for others    
  • Love of the game
